OUR STORY

ABOUT LP EQUINE
Horses have always been a part of my life. My great grandfather was a 4th light horseman and had his horse shot from underneath him in the battle of Beersheeba. The family then had the largest harness manufacturing company in Melbourne at the time.
My grandmother for a time ran Macedon Lodge thoroughbred stud.
My mother was a showjumper, and then, along came me.

It started off with a little arabian riding pony Shaboo, mum decided that until I had balance and a seat independant of my hands that I would only ride bareback in a halter and lead rope. I owe a lot to that.

Crystal came into my life and taught me how to get a pony going forward and then the most impactful one of all, Sassie. Raven Lodge Moonlight Sophistication.

My mother bought Sassie for my sister Eliza, although the two didn't really get along. The idea was for me to get her going and sell her really, although we just clicked, we were like butter and toast.

Sass was a spirited and sensitive mare, talented and beautiful. She taught me what it was to fully trust and rely on another living soul and although unfortunately she crossed rainbow bridge a few years ago, Pip (Blau Champagne Ballad) came along in 2019 and started work on fixing the hole that she left in my heart. I currently have 3 ponies sired by Sassies progeny Raven Lodge Born Brave and they are the most talented, intellegent and beautiful ponies that I have had the privilege of working with.
